The Prawns/ Shrimp is always a real treat at our house. This Crispy Shrimp/ Prawn fry is perfect main course or appetizer option that’s even better than what you would get at a restaurant. This can be a delicious starter recipe for parties and celebrations. This Crunchy Fried Shrimp can be made in 1 hour 30 minutes.

– Prawns/Shrimp – 250 g
– Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
– Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
– Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
– Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
– Corn Flour – 3 tbsp
– All Purpose Flour/Maida – 1 tbsp
– Egg – 1
– Bread Crumbs – (as required)
– Water – 2 tbsp
– Salt to taste

Step – 1 (Marinate the Prawns/Shrimp)
– Marinate the Prawns with Ginger Garlic Paste, Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder, Salt & Pepper Powder and mix them well. In separate bowl, add Corn Flour ,All Purpose Flour & Water mix to coat the shrimp.
– Keep it aside for 1 hour.

Step – 2 (After 1 hour)
– Add egg in a bowl and beat them with fork until frothy. In separate bowl add bread crumbs.
– First Coat the shrimp with egg mix then coat with bread crumbs.
– Do all the shrimps and transfer it to a plate.

Step – 3 (deep fry- Shrimp/Prawns)
– Add enough oil into the heavy bottom pan. Once oil heated up drop the coated shrimp into the oil.
– Deep fry the shrimp until it turns golden brown. Transfer it to a paper towel to drain the oil.
– Serve hot the crunchy fried shrimp with tomato ketchup.
