A wonderful lasagne recipe to bring a family together. Perfect layers of flavorful beef ragu, creamy bechamel sauce, and a whole heap of stretchy mozzarella cheese. The perfect lasagne Al Forno in an easy to build brick oven.

Recipe

16 lasagna sheets
Mozzarella cheese(heaps and heaps of cheese)
1 whole Brie

Ragu
∙ 1kg beef mince
∙ canola oil
∙ 2 onions
∙ 5 garlic cloves
∙ ½ cup chopped celery
∙ 800 g tomato purée(not tomato paste)
∙ 500 ml beef stock(1 bouillon cube)
∙ 500 ml of water
∙ 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
∙ salt & pepper
∙ 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
∙ 1 tablespoon sugar
∙ 3 bay leaves
∙ 3 sprigs oregano(1 tablespoon dried oregano)
∙ 1 tablespoon capers

Bechamel sauce
∙ 125 g butter
∙ ¾ cup flour
∙ 500 ml of milk
∙ 250 ml cream
∙ 1 cup gouda cheese(optional)
∙ 1 teaspoon white pepper
∙ salt to taste
∙ 2 pinches of paprika

∙ Bake the Lasagne in a 200°C oven for 30 minutes and 10 minutes uncovered (until cheese is golden)
∙ Rest for 10 minutes before serving
