This Ninja Foodi Short Ribs Recipe can also be made in an Instant Pot. Beef short ribs in a pressure cooker are done much quicker than beef ribs in the oven.
Season the beef short ribs all over with 1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic, 2 teaspoons of kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Sear the short ribs all over in your electric pressure cooker. Saute 1 chopped red onion, and 2 scallions, you can add carrots if you like. Add 2-3 cloves of chopped garlic after the other vegetables have softened. Season the vegetables with a 1/2 teaspoon each of fenugreek and coriander (this part is optional but adds great flavor). Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of ketchup or tomato paste, then pour in beef broth and cook the short ribs for about 40 minutes.
Do a natural release for 25 minutes then quick release the rest of the steam
Strain the broth and remove the fat. If you want a thicker sauce simmer in a bit of cornstarch mixed with a little water.
